Hughes' Home Maid Chocolates Shop: Discover Unmatched Homemade Delights in Oshkosh

They make great Chocolate's out of the Basement of there House in Oshkosh WI. Have been going there for years. They're open in the fall for the Thanksgiving and Christmas rush. Then they open again in the spring for the Easter rush. You have to go there for the experience. There great people. And you have fun talking with all the other customers while your waiting.

Holy cow! I can't believe I've lived so close to this place my entire life and only just now tried this place. The quality rivals Wilmar or Vande Walle's in Appleton. My wife and I went through a box of their milk chocolate covered toffee a little too quickly. For those who have never been, it's just a house in a residential neighborhood - you enter through the driveway side door and go into the basement.

We drive 1.5 hours to buy our grandchildren's Easter bunny's! The best chocolate, REAL chocolate at best prices! Looking forward to stopping soon and stocking up.

My mother has gotten all our family valentine and Easter chocolates from here for over 40 years. I know do it for my family and her. One of the greatest memories I have is have one pudding with my grandma when I would stop and visit. She would not let anyone have more than one because they were her special after dinner treat. In fact I just found out two years ago that I must have been her favorite because she never shared them with anyone else. Love this place so much thank you for making family memories with your chocolates.

To begin, this was an odd experience. Heading down the stairs to the basement of the house, we were confused, and honestly it felt like we were doing something illegal. I've never been to a chocolate shop like this. You don't even get to see the product before you purchase. They could have sold us a box of human fingers and we wouldn't have known until we got home... The chocolates are absolutely delicious! It's a bit strange to not get to choose which types go in the box, or see them first, but we happily consumed them all. We regret nothing (other than not purchasing a third box). Come here. Buy chocolate. Eat chocolate. Be happy.

Always a great experience. We look forward to our annual Hughes' visit all year. They never disappoint. The extra pounds over the holidays are worth every delicious bite.

I've heard & have been gifted these chocolates but had never been there. Until now! Very compact area but when I was there not too many people so it went smoothly. The 2 ladies at the registers did great even tho there was an unfortunate incident with someone not paying & getting away. Felt so bad for the employee that realized what had happened. :( But, a great experience & I'm sure I will be back. Great chocolate selection & great eating!

You couldn’t get a cooler experience. Highly recommend the vanilla oysters if you get the chance. Amazingly cute chocolate bunnies and chicks to choose from for Spring!
